Today felt like a real escape—fresh air, greenery, and a slower pace. We spent the afternoon in Samanid Park, one of the rare places in Bukhara filled with lush grass and tall trees. After walking through the dry, dusty streets, it was such a refreshing change.



The main highlight was the Samanid Mausoleum. From afar, it appears quite simple, almost like a plain brown cube. But as we got closer, the details became incredible. There are no bright tiles or colors—just brick—but the way the bricks are arranged makes it look like a beautifully woven pattern, almost like a basket. We also visited Chashma-Ayub (Job’s Well), known for its cool and refreshing water. To end the day, we rode the Ferris wheel in the park. Watching the ancient city walls from above during sunset was truly unforgettable.

The Secret of the Bricks

The Samanid Mausoleum is known for its fascinating visual effect. Because the bricks are placed at different angles and depths, the building seems to change its appearance throughout the day as the sunlight shifts. On cloudy days, it looks entirely different from how it appears under bright sunlight.



The Meaning Behind Its Shape

This mausoleum is an early masterpiece of Islamic architecture, built using a “dome on a square” concept. The square base symbolizes the Earth, while the dome represents the sky or heavens.



The Story of Chashma-Ayub

This nearby site is connected to the Prophet Job (Ayub). According to legend, during a severe drought, he struck the ground with his staff, causing a spring of pure, healing water to emerge. Even today, visitors come to drink from it.

 Practice💫 #day_2 Location📍:Chor Minor  Date📆:28.10.2025 🏛️ A Visit to Chor Minor — The Charm of Bukhara’s Four Minarets Today we visited one of Bukhara’s most unique and charming monuments — Chor Minor. The name itself means “Four Minarets”, and as soon as you see it, you understand why. Standing gracefully in the heart of the old city, Chor Minor looks like something from a fairy tale. When I first saw Chor Minor, I couldn’t stop smiling. Its four blue domes shone brightly under the sun, and the architecture looked so different from anything else in Bukhara. Even though the building is small, it has a big soul — quiet, beautiful, and full of history. Chor Minor was built in the early 19th century by a rich merchant named Khalif Niyazkul.
